Atchafalaya Basin Open BASS Tournament

Is anyone going check out the weigh in for the Atchafalaya Basin BASS Open tournament? I wonder who is fishing it?

I also saw somewhere that David fritz was fishing and a few other big names. I know a couple people fishing it from Texas. They are staying with one of my podnuhs and have been here scouting for two weeks

Who ever makes the run to the Cat will most likely win it,IF its not off limits

The guys I know are runnng to the cat so it'll probably be pretty crowded

I am not saying that's where it'll be won but I can guarantee it'll be crowded. I would love to see a winning stringer come from the spillway. But let's be realistic when was the last time you saw a 10+ lb fish come from the spillway muchless more than ten over ten lbs

They'll be over 70 boats in Cat, very few fish will be caught- book it.

I'm thinking 15 lbs after two days will make the cut. My buddy is in first in points and I'm pulling for him to get a berth to the classic and fish the elites. He has worked his butt off. Hopefully that Texas boy can keep it together in the swamp!!

we have a couple south ms boys fishing the co-angler side, i'll find out who they get paired with and see if ya'll know em

Funny that you say that. The guys that we know asked me where to fish and what to throw. I told em a couple spots and what we were catching em on. He said oh I got this just by you showing me that I have this lake figured out. They went the next day didn't throw anything I told em to(cause he had the lake figured out) and didn't catch but two dinks. My buddy went the same day to the same places and wore em out. Some nice fish too.

I'm pulling for my local Atchafalaya River Rat from Pierre Part, La. Cliff Crochet who is sitting in sixth place in the points. Cliff is a super guy who came up the ranks from the GMC pro-ams, Louisiana BFL's, Louisiana BASS Weekend Series and Doiron's Landing Team Tournaments. It's been his goal to make the BASS Masters Classic and to fish the BASS Elite Series. Both of his goals are in his reach if he can do well on his homewaters this week. Good Luck Cliff.

Full field tommorrow and Friday. Then they cut down on Saturday. I don't know how many they cut down to but I guess the Top 10.

this time of year i think Verret gonna be tough if they can launch on that side. I believe thats where i would spend my time.
