That looks like a lot of work. Any particular reason you are building a shop with wood instead of steel? Not making any fun just curious?

Pre fabing first, good move.Once you get it all laid out then it should be alot smoother to erect.

Exactly half the price and I have not had to rent any equipment to do the wood. I have never done an all metal so the chances are i would have had to pay labor to get it up. As it stands i can finish the hole outside slab and all the way i am going for 11-13k. Turn key on a metal was right at 30 with the slab. Just to buy the bldg kit was 19k for the same size with no slab.

The wind rating on the wood the way its built with the trusses is actually higher that the metal bldgs for whatever reason. The last reason is the way i have built it the inside willbe easier to finish out as i go and way cheaper. I plan on insulateing the whole thing then putting central air and heat in sooner or later. that way i can work in comfort!

I understand of the substanial savings. What is the size of the building? I hear you on the AC, no shop should be with out it. There is no reason to sweat when working on our boat(s)

already planning the first addition of a 14x76 off one side with another lean to but the wife isnt liking that one cause she wanted some flower beds there and the fence to stay. I told her i can put the fence back up!

Doug, why are you building the trusses yourself? I would have had them delievered myself, but that's just me.
