    Verret Reports from this Weekend

    Took my daughter out for a fishing trip to the Cracker Head Saturday. We only caught 1 small bass & 3 Choupic. She loves to fish bass, 11 yrs old, so looks like I have a partner for life We had a good lunch with the choupic too. Anybody else did any good in Verret?

    heard it was bad this weekend...I went to false river and only caught 6 small ones....I think fishing was bad overall this weekend everywhere!

    Fished the tourny and 17 pounds won it. Big fish was 5 pounds. The bite was short. Early morning bite till about 10am and they shut off. Had big fish hooked and she broke me off at the boat, guessing 7 or 8 pounds. she was pretty. Scouted Veret on Sat. and we caught a lot of small fish so we put in on the river and hit some canals. Overall good day though.

    We were in verret all weekend and only caught about 20 catfish and 5 or 6 brim . I had my kids with me so I didnt get to do any bass fishing .

    I was out there Saturday and caught one fish... 17 incher in crackerhead. But that was all she wrote...

    It was a beautiful day though.

    yep, with this rain coming i bet the water is going to be REAL muddy this weekend, and the river is on a rise!! I like for it to be high on the verett side though! I got a place I catch some nices ones in when the water gets high enough

    Not good. The fish had spawned out where I scouted. So I went to a different hole that I didn't scout the second day & only managed 1 4lb. fish. But I did win a nice rod from the door prizes.
