    Recreational Specialties..???

Any of ya'll ever had any service experience with Recreational Specialties on Greenwell Springs Road in Baton Rouge? My Dad is looking for a place to bring his motor to get worked on, but we were just wondering if anyone would share any experiences they may have had with that particular shop, good or bad. Thanks!

Justin there's a repair shop in Gonzales run by Jerry Lanoux (spelling) their off of Weber city road and he's really good. If you want I can get a number for him or there's Simon's also that's really good.

Yes I have but I can't recommend them. It takes a long time to get your boat back and both times I have took mine there they broke something else. The problem is I haven't had luck any place I have taken a boat to so I am not sure anyone else is better.

If its a merc Richard Cooper is in denham Springs he is the best around on mercs but that is all he will work on. He's in the book. Larry's outboard is real good on rudes all of them but i dont know how much he's still doing as he is over the mechanics at bps in denham i think. his number is 225-567-2845 larry is real good and fair priced.

If you get the owner Mike to do the work it will be right. He has done work for me off and on since 1999.Not sure about his help but he knows how to fix all brands.

I havent had to take my boat in yet but my brother in law uses david wade marine in south baton rouge. He does really good work and has a very fast turn around. He also works on some very high end race boats, also has a website. I will be taking my boat there when needed.

It is back named Greenwell Springs Marine. Mike Hughes still has the place. Brought my boat to him on Monday June 1st, went by today at lunch to check progress. There must be at least another 25 service tickets in front of mine. The stack of workorders of boats waiting to be worked on was about an inch thick. Have known Mikey for a long time but taking in more than he can handle is bad business. Going to pick mine up tomorrow and bring it to Jerry`s boat Repair in Gonzales. Praying I get it back for the rally If anyone has any other suggestons im open to them. My fuel pump is out
