    Aerosol fuel injector cleaner

I recently acquired three cases of professional Aerosol fuel injector cleaner. I have the hose kit for my Fords which attaches to the schrader valve on the fuel rail, same as the schrader valve on my 2001 EFI 225.
To run this stuff you typically disconnect power to the fuel pump, hook up to the schrader valve and adjust the bottle regulator pressure a few pounds pounds below what is normally run. Then the motor is run off of the cleaner until the can is empty.

My question is how will the oiling system play into this? I'm not entirely sure on where the oil is introduced to the fuel. If its in or before the vapor separator I don't think this will work. Any thoughts are appreciated.

DO NOT utilize this method! It can (AND WILL) result in damage to the powerhead (from lack of lubricant), and if the pressure reaches the "regulator setpoint", can pass the cleaner into the VST, resulting in damage to needle/seat, fuel pumps, etc.

Thanks, that is kinda what I figured. Glad I got an experts opinion. I'll stick to using it on my cars....
