My buddy just bought a new 09 Ranger 208VX. The trailer brakes don't work like any boat that I have had before. It has the electrical backup interrupter that is supposed to disable the brakes when backing up but the brakes lock on backup.

We tried two trucks, two pigtails, the reverse lights work on the boat when backing, the blue wire is connected to the fifth pin as it's supposed to be, but when the tongue compresses on back up the brakes lock like in normal use. We made sure that the emergency lock is positioned properly, bled the master cylinder per the manual and the fluid is at the correct height. It's brand new and was set up at the Cabelas in KC.

Any thoughts? Are we doing it wrong?
