    Lesson of the day...

When you get invited to fish a tournament at Wilson with Tim, do it! He asked me to fish the buddy bass at Wilson, and I told him that I should save my money since Lacey was not working for 2 weeks (had a baby) so I chose not to fish. Well, like usual, Tim won first place and got $900 and change. From here on out, I guess I will look at Tim/Wilson as a chance to make money instead of being a tight a$$. Congrats to Jessie also, He got 2nd only ounces behind.....

I gave it hell today. That damn Tim is just a son of a b*itch on that lake. beat my big bass by 5 oz and then my big stringer by 5 oz. Next time i will let him weigh in first so i dont have to sweat so bad. Good job Tim

Re: Lesson of the day... (John Br.)

We mostly flipped the main lake sawgrass. Had to have at least 3 foot of water on it and it had to be the really dark green alive stuff. Didn't catch anything in the salt cedar and only a few shorts in the cattails. Got a few fish on buzzbait early as well. Same areas though. Just kept the trolling motor cranked and covered alot of water.

I think tim said he caught 4 of his fish on 4 different lures so i dont know if he was on a pattern or just making his milk run.

Ha, I can't take all the credit for this one. Jody is the man on that lake and I was fortunate enough to fish with him. It was a lot tougher than we had anticipated, had to work our tails off. We had just under 12 lbs, big bass was 4.2 lbs. I thought we had a little more weight than that coming in, but I guess the scales don't lie. Still a good time, even with some miserable heat.

Re: Lesson of the day... (TimS)

I was there fun fishing with my son, caught 6 shorts on a buzz bait, I think we were in the same area as you once by that western swim beach. My son was very tired so I tried several areas and went home at 11, just in time to miss all the jet skis that were unloading.
