Can we, perhaps, get some more information on your engine, boat, and setup?
There were a few different engines offered in 1996....
Horsepower, serial number, current prop, current WOT RPM's and speed, current WOT water pressure, does your boat have a jackplate.... these are all helpful items when trying to assist you.

yeah sorry about that,had a brain fart. 1996 mariner,3.0 magnum efi. it has a 24p tempest plus,no jackplate. set in the middle of the eng mount holes.

How about a serial number.... don't show a 3L 200 EFI in that year.....
