    trolling motor issues

    All,

Last night was fishing Milford and my trolling motor just started running wide open. Dial is not working at all. Push the button and full speed /cry. It is a motorguide 107 lbs thrust. Anybody know of somebody around Junction City that can fix something like that. I am going to look more in depth at it this eve, but was hoping somebody had an idea.

    thanks in advance,

Sounds like the board may be fried. It's an easy fix if there's a person there to do it. If not, I think Ryan has a POC in KC

Thye circuit board on our 74# maxxum quit working, was $200 for the part but an easy fix.

I had a scare on Milford last weekend with our TM, went to JJ's Marine in Junction City and their trolling motor tech guy fixed it; turned out to be a set screw that got lodged in between the magnets in the lower unit

I beleive it's a 109, didn't know they made a 107. Prolly got water in it. Mine did it 4 times before I junked it.

    Re: trolling motor issues (dukhntr)

Na, 107 on the front cover. Anyways, won't be able to make it tomorrow morning /cry. Taking it to a guy in JC who can hopefully fix it...

After describing it to him, he thinks it might be the speed adjuster in the lower unit.

Gluck to all on the water tomorrow.

Hope they get you fixed up Roger. Looks like Chad will be with one of my buddies.
