Had my boat out today and after fishing and running all day with no issues, we weighed our fish in at a real shallow cove. While idling out of the cove, the engine sounded 4 beeps (or 3, i cant remember now). First thing i did was turn around to make sure there was water coming out of the pee hole...there was. Idled a little further and it beeped again (still cant remember if it was 3 or 4) and stopped. Water deepened up, i trimmed down, and made the 4 mile run back to the ramp at WOT with no beeps. While waiting for the trailer, no beeps. Can someone tell me what 3 beeps means? I believe 4 beeps has to do with oil and i had a full reservoir however, when we got back home, i pulled the cowl and noticed the tank on the engine was about a 1/2" below the top. Would this cause the beeps and if so, where did the oil go and what do i need to do to make it right? Is it as simple as filling it to the top? Also, i noticed today after we put the boat on the trailer when i trimmed the motor down to drain it, there was a little rainbow on the ground which i assume is gas or oil mixed with gas? Ive only had it out twice since last winter so it might still be running a little lean due to the fogging oil. Don, would it be ok to give you a call Monday? I dont want to bother you in the busy season unless you tell me it's ok. Any advice from anyone? Thanks y'all,
Jay
