First I'm not complaining about my dealer because I think they're great and have been really trying to help.

I have an 02 Merc 225 EFI 3.0. After about a minute of running over 5000 RPMs the alarm kicks on (solid beep). Initially we thought over heat but as soon as you turn the key off you can turn it back on and your on your way. You don't have to wait for it to "cool down". Also changed the water pump, checked poppett valve and tstats and all looks clean. Then I thought water in the fuel. Changed the seperator and the dealer even ran it on a small tank of their fuel and same thing.

It's like clock work, I can fish all day long under 5k rpms and runs like a champ. Over 5k and the issue is guaranteed to duplicate.

The only codes the computer showed was a couple over heats from when the water pump needed replaced earlier in the year.

Any ideas????
