Do I fog this thing like a normal outboard? Never done it before with this one. I assume it's the same as it was on my 1996 150 EFI?? Thanks in advance.![]()

No!!!! Do not fog an Optimax engine!!!!! Refer to your owner's manual. Fogging will harm your engine.
No !!!!! See your owners manual or Merc dealer.
You DO NOT fog an Optimax Engine "traditionally". IF you intend to leave it sit for 45 or more days, then you would want to consider removing the spark plugs, add about 1 teaspoon of 2 stroke oil (use the same oil you use in your oil tank) to each spark plug hole, spin the engine through by hand a few revolutions (clockwise, please), and reinstall the spark plugs.
Of course- fuel should already have been "well stabilized", engine run UNDER LOAD (in the lake) for a minimum of 15 minutes, and Gear Lubricant changed.![]()
