I'm about to pull the trigger now


been tryin to really figure out my best option(s) here.

a little time ago I posted about the Cable/Satelite saga......OK......found out today that if I wanted to get better Cable that I need to Upgrade back to there Digital Tier in order to Receive ANY of there HD channels........then I will need to pay for a newer HD receiver in order to get it.......so you can tack abnother $20 per month onto my Bill just to see any HD channels.....PLUS I would only get about 16 Channels broadcast in HD all in all it will cost us about $85 for maybe about 10 more channels I might watch

Direct TV has still got there Summer Specials going on for a Choice+ package with HD access for $49.99 per month....200+ channels that already include the HD access with about 40 Channels Broadcast in HD............INCLUDING some fo the ones Owen would watch.

In conclusion.........I think I will be getting Direct TV soon with there HD line-up so I can watch the NFL & NHL Network this Winter

We are about to pull the trigger also but still trying to decide between Direct and Dish. I haven;t been pondering too hard though....

I feel your pain. I just switched to Direct TV from Cable because my bill had gotten so HIGH! Well Direct Tv is ok. It has the same channels and a few that cable does not have. I HATE the fact that the channels are all over the place! Not like cable 1-100 or whatever. I dropped everthing Cox and am getting ATT DSL internet on Monday. I figure my bill will go down about 30 bucks a month but DAMN it was alot of hassle! We will see how it goes! Do like the free DVR that Direct TV gave me so I can DVR entire fishng shows and watch them when I want! Greg

you put too mamy damn miles on it on your so I cant get what I want out of it.................plus.........there still wanting arm& leg for anything CAR related anymore.........its a SELLERS market on them right now & cant get the same Deals we did 2-3 years ago anymore.

dont need any DVR unless Momma wants one to Digi record some shows.

but that is about what I'd be paying for Cable if I had to "Upgrade" to get what I wanted.....and STILL have less

quit driving for your dam fishing trips then, it wouldn't have so many miles...

All you have to do is a customized menu and you delete all the channels you don't want to watch or have in your guide. You mean you scroll through the whole damn thing????

no I think he was refering to the Channel Line-up is all over the place.....but I think he was too used to the 1-100 setup
