I used to live 5 minutes from the old store when I was still living in KC. What a place! Wish we had a store that good here in Wichita.

    Re: Rogers Sporting Goods (MMesplay)

I used to stop at the one in Lamar on my way to Stockton, their first store ran by Jim and his wife before their health got bad.It was one of the best tackle stores around in my opinion. What was really neat was checking out all of Jim's plaques from the early BASS days and I remember him having a check on his wall from Ray Scott paying back his membership from when Ray was first starting out. I took a tour of their factory beside the store and it was wall to wall crankbaits, spinnerbaits and everything you else you could think of.They had a helluva market overseas in Japan.I don't know who owns it now but the last time I stopped it was mostly archery and hunting supplies. Sorry I rambled on, I just love talking about the old days of tournaments and BASS back when I was a member.

I didn't know it was open yet. Guess I will make a trip over there soon.
