IM on this site?

IM is instant messaging... but for it to work both have to be logged in at the same time ?? right? it doesn't pop up later or saved anywhere? right?

nope.........it dont matter..........you can send anyone and IM anytime.....logged in or out.....but its a matter of WHEN they will get it......they will save in there IM folder for up to 7 days.....after that they are dropped.......but if your pop-up blocker or theres is not set to receive them on the BBC it wont help the problem.....................if anything you can just go to <U>"My Profile"</U> and click on IM history to see if you have anything out there too.

guess I never knew it could be checked before, and have had people say they sent me one, but never got it.. just checked and empty..

Kerry, the IM's will pop up automattically.... I know for a fact... had a dozen pop up on me just recently when I logged in. I thought it was funny till I started reading them

....another thing to check is that you don't have more than one pop up blocker on. I had Internet Explorer blocker turned off, but I didn't notice on my Yahoo toolbar that its pop up blocker was turned on and I wasn't getting IM's for a while and had to check them all the time in my profile. Normally, the IM's travel back and forth pretty quick as long as each party is refreshing or entering different threads routinely.....

I have all kinds of pop up blockers, I would suspect this is the reason I never get an IM

Yeah, that's your problem. Just turn off any pop up blocker you can find on your browser window or you can set them to allow pop ups only for this site....
