    I almost sunk my boat

I started back to the ramp after 4 hours of fishing, when I noticed my 2003 Deep "V" 18' Targa took a really long time to get on plane. When I pulled the Plug getting ready for the trip home.--- WOW -- Lots of water – Took almost 20 –30 minutes to drain. Bilge was almost full I almost sunk my boat .
Found both the front and rear live well / bait well pumps (we used both) had a broken the plastic connector on the pumps - right where the hose connects.
Earlier this year, I had to replace the bilge pump for the same reason.

You guys have any Ideas on what caused this??

I don't get my boat out much -- never any heavy waves.. Spends most it's time - covered --sitting in the drive.
Do most of my fishing with Morgan

    Thanks Rick

    Thanks Guys.

Is it possible to "over tighten" those hose clamps - then cause stress cracks ??

Re: I almost sunk my boat (tritonryan)

I would check to see if there is any undue stress on the fittings from side pressure, hose placement, etc.... They shouldn't be breaking like that with that new of a rig. I had one pump crack like that at the thru hull fitting, but my rig is also ten years old. Glad to hear you didn't sink her!

If you store it over the winter outside that can cause it. Have had that happen on my last rig. Seemed to weaken the plastic housing
