Amazing as it may seem, it's a Repeat!
Chandler and Kash will be attending the National Guard TBF FLW National Championship again this year!
15-18 age group
Chandler's (Independence, MO.) 259 points and 2 fish were enough for the Victory. Chandler spoke about how he caught his fish. Using a slip sinker and pin point casting, he was catching his fish on a 10" Berkely Power worm in the Blue Fleck Color. He was biting off about 3 inches of the bait to make it about 7" long. He had 17 pound line and a heavy action rod. All the bites came close to the bank.
2nd Place went to Jared Smith, Independence, MO. with 134 points
11-14 Age Group
Kash "Money" Kruep, Paola, KS: took overall points Champion and big fish with 261 points. He said his Abu matic 1276 reel and Lighting rod were great to use all day. He landed his fish on a Creature bait, green pumpkin, dipped chart. tails, using 10 pound Trilene 100% Flourel carbon line. He pitched around laydowns and rocks on the bank.
2nd place Justin Niccum, Independence, MO. 204 points also caught his fish on a drop bait
3rd place: Chase Curl, Galva, Ks landed his fish on a drop bail also for 103 points.
Conditions were terrible if not worse, heavy rains and High winds, had Lake Olathe churned into a muddy mess. If that was not bad enough, the air temp at take off was 46 degrees! and the water was a cool 58 degrees.
Special Thanks to Bass Pro of Olathe KS for donations for the youth members.
I will post pictures and more, as time permits.
