Just wanted to see "why" people root for their instate teams?
I graduated from KSU in 93 with a marketing degree... GO CATS!!
KSU grad in 05 with a marketing/agri-business degree...and still a proud Manhattan resident today.
Graduated neither and cheer for both

I am starting to see a trend here from the KSU graduates. I graduated a few months ago with a degree in marketing. Will be here for quite awhile.

Bro played football for KSU so i am a cats fan, but i go to KU so when it comes down to it i gotta go with KU but i root for both!

I still have an acceptance letter to K-State from 1986, but ended up attending another school and if I tell you which one you will all disown me... It starts with T, has an X in it and ends in S, but I'm not telling

I didn't go to either. I have always liked to watch KU basketball. Wouldn't call myself a fan, just like watching them cause they always seem to have great athletes that are well coached and diciplined.

Graduated from K-State in 2002 with a degree in Kinesiology, also played football there.....well was on the team didn't play much
Actually, I have my PhD from KU, but was a fan of their basketball long before attending there. Akdoc is my son who was on the football team at KSU, so I've always been a fan of their football, but my youngest son (DJ13) is at KU and actually I like to see both schools do well, in fact any school in the Big 12. My BS was from Iowa State, but when I was there they sucked at every major sport so never really got behind their athletics. Attended Purdue (Big 10) for my masters, and that's why I despise Big 10 sports because I think they are dramatically overrated as a conference.
Anyway, go Big 12!!!!!
I graduated from Wichita State in '02 but have been a KU fan since I can remember. Go Hawks!

Attended to K-State 1975-1977, but graduated from Wichita State in 1985. However, my heart will ALWAYS pump Purple and White!!!!! Every Man a Wildcat!

Went to school at K-State. My BIL played football for them, so I am a big fan of the football team.
I am a migrated norfer so I attended neither but enjoy antagonizing both.
I didn't go to either, but I really like the atmosphere of Manhatten and KSU.
