    New Kansas Fisher

Hey Guys - Stumbled on the site a while ago and having been lurking around. Just wanted to introduce myself.
Moved to Olathe, Kansas about a year ago from NW Arkansas. My wife wanted to get "back home", so here I am - I'm sure some of you can relate.
Sort of new to the "competitive" angler scene - No boat, a little tackle, but a big desire to learn all I can!
Hopeing to find a nice used boat before the spring comes - so let me know if you all need someone to sit in the back seat before then!

Looking forward to hanging out with you all in the future - seems like you all have a good time together.

    Bryan

Welcome aboard, check your sanity at the door. Check out a local club if you are interested in learning. A few of us belong to the Leavenworth Bass Club http://www.leavenworthbassclub.org
but there are several good clubs on this side of the state.

Joining a local BASS affiliated club is by far the best way to meet some other anglers and really get to know the lakes and hone your fishing skills. I would look into Bob's club for sure! Oh, and welcome!

Re: New Kansas Fisher (bryan hayes)

    Welcome,

Bob's joining a club advice is the best advice that has came off of this board in a while.

I was also new to this part of the country not long ago and joined the LBC last year and learned as much in 1 year with these guys as my first 30 trying to figure it out on my own.

BTW they have no mercy on the rookies when it comes tournament time

Additionally, you don't want no stinkin Skeeter, Ranger or Stratos. Get a Triton if you want a real fishin machine

    Re: New Kansas Fisher (Lsto19)

    Good stuff.

I sent an app for the Olathe Bass Club about a month ago, but haven't heard anything back from them yet.

Does Ft Levenworth's club fish locally, or do they do some traveling?

I'm clueless about the boat issue... don't but I'm sort of looking for a used tin boat and plan on only using it for this year, then getting something nicer... triton, ranger, skeeter....
