Sounding like I need to get my motor rebuilt. I have a fortune in the electronics and fuel parts so a whole different motor might be tossing money away. I have a 200 mariner efi 1995 - 0g202025 ser #. I do not know about rebuilding a motor. The comp was 78 and then I had the heads "cleaned up" locally and the comp is only still 100. used two different gauges checked it warmed up with the throttle wide open, all plugs out. the cyl walls did not look scratched up but I'm not the expert on what to look for. Jay - is this something you can rebuild. Not knowing alot about this - only what I have seen parts for online - should I have this block "bored out or sleeved with 30 over pistons and put in balanced rods lightwieght pins or top pinned pistons" . I would like to get the most out of this rebuild that I could. But at the same time i'm not racing, I'm fishing and playing in a 95 procraft superpro. A heavy 20 foot bassboat. Jay if you can do this rebuild what is the process. Do you build my block and heads or do you have ones there done that I put all my fuel and electronic stuff on and I give you mine "as a core"? Like I said I'm not looking for something that turns 10,000 rpm and has a 100 hours life expectancy - I want as much power as I can get out of a "reliable" fishing motor. I completely trust your opinion on what I should do with this block. Thanks
