    Bassmaster Classic

Well it looks like in Feb. Cole Bowen from Puddle Jumpers bass Club will be repsenting Kansas in the 10 - 14 age group at the Jr World Championship in South Carolina.. Cole qualified for the State Championship at Lone Star ( Douglas Co Lake ) on June 30th.. in a massage down pour.. well the weather was better ( little windy ) on Sept 28 at Lone Star as 12 boys and girls hit the water for the State Championship ,, and it didn't take long for them to catch some nice fish.. there was 5 bass over 18", with 1 being a 21 1/2" smallmouth.. Cole ended the day with 10 lb 3 oz, the 15 - 18 age group was won by Sam Nelson with 14 pounds and some change.. Congradulation to Cole and Sam.. Good Luck in Feb at the Classic

    Re: Bassmaster Classic (beetle)

My understanding is that the youth nationals will be at Lake Keowee South Carolina. It is a 18,500 acre reservoir extremely clear with lots of docks. The normal patterns in February are jerk baits, jigs and spoons in around 20 ft. of water. Sounds like wiggle warts and shakey heads should work on the spotted and largemouth bass. Larry Brumley
