Melvin Smoot, thanks for the invite.

bigfishingstud (5:26 PM 9/5/2007): next time your down this way holler and maybe we can hook up and fish one of the lakes down this way.. i'll take you to the YC city lake. (copied from IM. I am using a laptop over wireless right now and the IM thing doesn't always work real good.)

Melvin, thanks for the invitation, and I accept. Not sure now when I can get down there but you can bet I will. I read your post recently where you caught some nice fish there. I started fishing about 4 years ago and haven't fished any of the lakes in SE Ks. I was on Big Hill once. My dad, 81, wanted to go over there when I got my boat and try it out. He didn't like it much, not at all actualy, so we trolled around about an hour and went home, Elk City. This weekend I am fishing a club TX over at Stockton, Mo. Never been there either, any pointers? If you are fishing this weekend good luck. I will email you first of the week. Look forward to meeting and a fishing lesson. The only reason I'm not fishing as one of those kids is because I am to tall.

Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Mt Carmal, near a state park I think. I am riding shotgun with my boater and he knows so I haven't worried about it much. One of those load up, hang on and start fishing when I tell ya deals. I have gone as non-boater this year. Didn't figure I had the boat control to keep front and back of boat in position. Also I have learned a lot from fishing with each of them (Hey most of these guys have fished for years. Figured at my age I didn't have time to be fumblin aroung learning what they could show me) also never being on most of the lakes I had no clue where to start fishing. We go fishing I hope you don't get tired of questions like "why here daddy", "looks like a good place for jerky and a beer", "where are the babs in bikkies"? Damn you think those are real?" Talk to ya later.

Mathew, Thanks for the invitation too. I plan no making it this late summer and fall yet. Might be fun fishing with each of you except then everyone on the board is going to drill me on who is the best. The 2 of you don't ever get a little side action going on it do you? Well, I will be fair, trust me! Are you fishing at Milford this weekend also? Good luck to you. I do want you to show me how to make those jigs with the loose skirt material. Never tried that. Talk to ya later.

Careful Melvern, you may be showing signs of that CRS. I know because I have gone to Hillsdale via Omaha more than once. Leaving here in a couple min to Stockton. We will probably have breakfast in Topeka, ha. Good Luck.
