Dana and I just accepted a counter offer to buy our first house. I have just spent more money than I can comprehend (that is coming from a college student on a budget).![]()

How long of a boat do ya think you can fit in the garage?
Gee, congrats, I guess![]()
tell me about it it like singing your life away![]()
Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

I think it will be a little while before that is an option though.
Just gotta think ahead a lil![]()
Oh believe me I did. Actually I have enough space to back a boat into the backyard to hide it behind the privacy fence. I will figure out a place to stick a boat don't worry about that. I just have to figure out how to pay for the boat.
Congrats Chris, that is a big step. I remember how nervous I was when I bought mine 2 years ago, but it really is a great feeling. Where is it??

Purcells mill road. Take Casement to Butterfield. Just a ways east of you actually.
Your right in the middle between Tim and I. Better have a house warming barbeque.![]()
Awe - i remember buying my first house. wonder if i could make that $300.00 per month payment, the scrounging at the end of the month to come up with the money.
I am on my 4th house now and i am still wondering how i make that house payment every month. i guess what i am trying to say is that when you go out and commit to something for 15 to 30 years it's normal to be worried about it.
Good Luck and Congratulations

Congrats Chris!!! My son closes on his first house next week. So are you buying in Man-happening?? And the payment could always be worse -- you could have TWO house payments like I do!!![]()
FYI - my TR-20 without a swing tongue (almost 25" long) fits in my 22' 4" deep double wide garage at an angle just fine as long as I lower the motor. There is room to walk on both sides of it, but not around the back.

Good job Chris. Real estate is always a good investment. Before you know it, you'll be moving up to a bigger and better house and shopping for a new boat.![]()
Yep I am going to finish up my last semester and graduate then stick around town while my wife gets her Masters. I accepted a salaried position at GTM that starts June 4th so I am here to stay.
Oh and I wouldn't even think about not having a barbecue when we get moved in. Gives me an excuse to buy a grill. I am tired of using that tiny personal one I can fit on my apartment "deck".

I would be happy with the latter of the two right now to tell you the truth. I always figured I could live in a cardboard box as long as I had a job, boat and time to go fishing. The house is more for my wife![]()
Congrats..Chris![]()
Sounds like a good reason to have a party![]()

Congrats on the purchase. I bought my first at 22. That was 8 houses ago.Don't worry, it gets easier. I have always felt real estate is a good investment.
