I tried to post a picture of a guy with a treble hook in his eye but could not get it right. If you want to see it IM your e-mail and I will send it to you. Then maybe someone with some computer brains can post it.

fellas dont take this lightly at all i had an experience similar to this myself about 5 years ago only mine was a sinker hittim my eye glasses and shattering them in my eye poped a hole im my eye from either the glass from my glasses or the hook never knew which one it was ended up with 5 stiches in my eye for 3 months and had to wear a patch over my eye
the thing that saved my eye was my glasses if i wouldnt have had them on i would not have the eye anymore...............whatever you do ALWAYS WEAR GLASSES OF SOME TYPE take it from someone who it has happened too DO NOT TAKE CHANCES WITH YOUR EYES YOU ONLY HAVE ONE SET
and turn your head when you have to yank on that lure to get it unhung a $100 lure is not worth your eyes.....period
Uuuggghhh.
The closest I ever came (knock wood) was about 3 years ago bank fishing on a moss covered pond surrounded by reeds. I was using a Pop'N'Image and it got hung up on said reeds. I did what I've done 10,000 times in my life & gave it a quick snap & the thing came back at me like a friggin' rocket. It caught me on the head about 3" above my right eye & 3" from my temple. 1 hook was in past the barb, but I couldn't push it through, 'cause literally, my skull was in the way. After about 1/2 hour of dicking around, trying to get it out as painlessly as possible, I finally found a piece of tree bark, bit down on it & ripped the thing out. It wasn't bad at all once it was out, but I hope I don't go through that again![]()

that sucks. I always wear glasses too.
Had 6 of the grand kids fishing at my daughter's pond. 1st thing I do when rigging the kids is to flatten the barbs (making them barbless).. Alot easier to remove hooks from kids, dogs, cows and cats if needed..

Never want to have to endure that
I have sunglasses on at all times fishing. That would suck right there.![]()
