Have you guys seen the latest BASS MASTERS mag.
page 89 has a list of what the top pros are getting paid by their sponsors.
that sure would make going fishing a little easier.

Then go back and look at what there winnings were in 2006.........Skeet Reese has $600K comign in plus just over $100k in winnings.....take away his $55k in Tx fees, around $85K in travel and other yearly expenses......I still think there coming out on top.........or they wouldn't be doing it

Makes you wonder how many "out of this world" sticks are out there without the funds to prove it.

For the very elite, it is a helluva job, but countless others struggle to make ends meet on the tour.

i have to agree with Ryan.
if you are lucky enough to be good at fishing and have the right sexapeal or a very good sale person, good at selling yourself!

Then you have the educated fisherman that will be the next wave.

All of your collage fishing team guys that continue their education and persue fishing as a full time employment will be the future pros.
    But, thats just my opinion???????

    Re: Sponsors (BLAAJA)

I thin its funny too that this was the 1st time it actually said that the fishing was second......being marketable was the #1 thing they look at........if any of us were like any of the 5 guys listed...I think we'd all be in heaven too. Marty is the only one whos been doing it longer than any of the others to this point....with KVD a close second.....but with that his statement of "waiting till one time we would make $25k for a change" and look at what brings it in now ..Just think of the contigency $$ you;d make if you have KVD's fishing skill.....Clunns experience.....and Skeets charm (good looks I guess).......you could make a killing from all 3 angles of the sport..................but as it shows in the article....not all of them are well rounded...........Oh yeah....and non of them are fat either....figure that one out.
