    My baby's all grown up...

...well she's getting bigger anyways. Close to 40 lbs now and starting to figure some things out.

This was Christmas morning, just my dad, me, and my brother-in-law. First time just the three of us have ever hunted together, was pretty cool and we had a great hunt. Limit of canadas (picked up number 9 on the way out of the field, so it's not in the picture) and a bonus speck that was lost and found his way into the decoys.

Tim, I am assuming since that speck came in alone, it got shot at by all three of you? Means how I cleaned it, it sure hot smacked hard.

I think RJ likes the Specks only.........supposed to taste better than others.....I couldnt say....never had one.......had someone give me a Canadian to cook once.............ended up tossing the rest out but I sure as heck did not know how to cook one then either.......I think cutting breast and frying is best resulty though

Actually RJ, my brother-in-law was the only one that shot. It was only his second goose hunt and that was the first bird of the morning. It was right in front of his blind about a 1/2 inch off the ground, maybe 10 feet in front of him. He got a full load of 3 1/2" BBs...

Jerky was good, ate most of the bag on the rest of my drive home.

Dennis we take all of our meat into a locker that makes pepper sticks out of it. Makes for a great snack during a hunt or on the boat and doesn't take much work on our part. RJ and his neighbor make a lot of jerky that is tasty as well, I am just too lazy to make it anymore...

I wasn't sure how it tasted Tim. Glad you liked it. I ate some that was real good and a few pieces were a little wierd tasting. Most of it was delicious though.
I'd say your brother in law whacked him real good. Blew his beak apart, it foot had about 4 pellets in it and one side of the breast was toast.
