Just cruising along today at 4400 rpm's my motor shut down to idle with a no oil alarm. You can cut the motor off a few seconds and it will clear and I got back to the ramp before it did it again. I put it on the trailer until I can figure out what is going on. Any ideas from y'all boys that know about these motors?
Guess the first thing I would check is the oil tank and the oil line to the motor and make sure the bulb was firm to the oil pump.
All that looked good and the bulb was pretty firm too. I am just hoping it's not a big time problem. I just got it fixed from a cracked midsection I inherited when I bought it.
A certified Evinrude tech with the software can get you fixed right up.
