    Texas vs. Ohio State

I think I might know Brads opinion on this one. How about the rest of you?

Not a Big Texas fan but I will root for the Big 12. I think they will have their hands full. New QB plus their shut-down corner is an idiot and got suspended...

Re: Texas vs. Ohio State (TimS)

I think Ohio, with Texas having one out on bond they may not overcome that. Hope my ancestors don't disown me on this one, but gotta call it like I see it...

Re: Texas vs. Ohio State (whoza_daddy)

I got to go wither way +/- 3. I'd give it to Texas if they weren't missing 2 starters, and I'd give it to OSU if they were at home.

Re: Texas vs. Ohio State (cgs2004)

While I hate both teams I am going for Ohio. Not because I like them any better just for the simple fact that I don't want to see anymore Texas fans magically appear around the state. Makes me sick. People who never cared for them until they make it into the spotlight immediately want you to think they are diehard true fans. It's bullshit. Same thing that goes on with OU. It is a mindset. I think you can only be an OU fan if you are a pompous ass. But hey that is my opinion. Needed to vent

Yeah, almost as bad as all the people who continue to profess k-state greatness, even in the face of years of decay. Not that your one of those, just that I meet lots of them.

I am an\ Buckeye faithful, but Im also an objective fan. If the Buckeyes dont do a better job of defending against the run it could be a long night for my bucks. I hate to say it but it could go either way.

I beleive that Ohio State will win. I only say that because last year (I know....."last year") Vince Young was such an important asset to the Horns, and now he is gone. Just like in the National Championship game, Vince put them on his shoulders and won that game. I think Ohio State has a big advantage with Troy Smith.....Go Buckeys

Oh I am the first to tell you it is going to be a long season. We look like we are going to suck it up this year. I won't argue but you won't find me jumping on the Texas wagon because of it. That is what pisses me off. And I spent a long time in Norman a year ago and barely made it out of town a couple times because of a KSU sticker on my truck. That is where my view of them comes from as well.

Wow, just wanted to be their first to say that the Texas quarterback sucks at this point in time. He may get better but right now he really sucks. Big props to Ohio State!

Re: Texas vs. Ohio State (dport)

I'd say Ohio State is probably for real this year...

On another note, anyone got money on the Nebraska-USC game??? I would be willing to bank on Nebraska covering the 18 1/2 point spread...

I think you're probably right, but I wouldn't have the balls to lay down a wager.

Re: Texas vs. Ohio State (tritonryan)

I am not saying anything about the USC game. I just hope Nebraska doesn't embarass themselves. They need to go in there with a Pi$$ed off attitude, put a hat on somebody, and just play football. They have nothing to lose. They are young and have arent' expected to be a top 10 team this year. I just hope they keep it within 2 TD's

All the genius sportscasters were saying after the first game that he had better passing stats than VY did in his first start. I guess it doesn't matter that VY was a 3rd year sophomore when he got his first start, and his claim to fame will never be his passing.

Actually, I completely agree with you in case you couldn't detect the sarcasm above. You just gotta understand the texas u. hype machine. Since they haven't recruited a real qb in years, they gotta hype whatever they do have.
