Talked to a buddy this morning that was hunting in Oklahoma for the dove opener. 35 guys killed thier limit by 7:15 this morning in a sunflower field...

Looking forward to whacking a few myself this evening. Anyone else hunting today??

Yeah when John called about a minute after shooting time it was the craziest thing I ever heard. He said it was 10 times better than the South America dove hunting you see on TV. I guess they had 35 in their field and in the field that borders them there was 20 pickups trying to hunt on the edge of the sunflowers...

I know when I talked to them last opener John was so out of breath that you couldnt understand him. 35 guys is a lot of shells. How do you clean 525 dove?

With 35 guys cleaning it wouldn't take 20 minutes...that's a lot of BBQ...

Crap thats right dove season did open!

Of course it's been open here at my place for quite some time now! I even have an early duck season here too. Been thinking about opening deer season early as well. I guess KS is not having the early can. goose season this year. I didn't see any reason to close it here at the ranch so I kept it open as well.

I have a year round season on kitty cats, no limit either. I like to shoot those with my .17 HMR. They jump straight up when it hits them. Land in a big pile of fur.
