well boys, I got the big one!! I shot my Tom yesterday. He had a 10"beard and weighed about 22 lbs....Oh, i also caught about 20 Bass in our farm pond!!!

Sounds like a nice bird, congrats. Took my dad out Saturday morning and he shot a nice bird, almost a carbon copy of the one I shot Wednesday. Lots and lots of gobbling and the birds are really splitting up.
Fishing was also good this weekend.
I had one hell of a good time. I drove on my way back to topeka yesterday and saw three nice toms right off the side of the highway...I wanted one!mmm good to eat!

I live within a mile of Hillsdale lake, south of Gardner, and there are a few fields that generally have 25-35 turkey in them everyday. I almost ran over one on the way to work yesterday as he went running down the shoulder of the road. Not a turkey hunter myself but get a kick out of watching them show off!!
I caught about 20 bass in general ranging from 1/2 to 1lb.
