Something that we don't see all that often is a Moderate Risk issued by the Storm Prediction Center in January, in fact the last time we saw a Moderate risk issued for the state was last spring, but in January is even more of a rare event the last one was issued Jan. 29, 2008. HoosierWX is EXPECTING, tornadic activity within the Moderate Risk Area in the map, this event will start in the late afternoon and will see a quick EXPLOSION of storm activity as the line moves across the Mississippi River Valley and travels east.

Outside the Moderate Risk, most of Indiana is under a Slight Risk, Expect a chance of tornadic activity within this area, but expect some larger hail along with strong thunderstorms to blow you around.
