Woke up Monday morning and the wind was blowing into Blood River in a real bad direction for me and a couple others who had our boats docked nose in. Rollers were barreling in from the Northeast over the back end of the Ranger. With the help of a couple neighbors, got the bilge running and did some manual bailing just in time and was able to get to the ramp and on the trailer. Afterwards I went to check on other docks and another boat was having the same issue, but this boat was almost full of water. Knocked on his door to let him know then ran down and managed to get him bailed out and off the water as well. Dipping and chunking 5 gallon buckets is the best workout I've had in a long time.

Lesson learned is that if winds are forecasted from the northeast, I'm docking bow out or more likely getting the boat on the trailer. Also saw a boat pushed up on the shore and a dock come off its poles. Wow that was some vicious wind.

Adding insult to injury, I took time to shop vac the water off of my carpets and had everything good and dry, then pulled the boat back to Lexington and hit a pouring rain for the last 30 minutes of my drive.
