I was there on saturday and sunday and didnt kill um thats for sure mite have had 12 or 14 lbs both days but we couldent get any big fish to bite we did find a bunch of males on bed only saw a couple females cruzin the water in the back of most of the bays was around 68-71deg and with the moon coming on strong it could be a sluuuuuuug fest. We did do a lot better on barkley sunday than we did saturday on KY I did see a bunch of USA Bass stickers on trucks at the air strip on saturday. I'd say around 18-20 per day
We had over 5 inches of rain here yesterday. The water has really muddyed up. It will probably start coming up also. I'm sure that Barkley will be muddy.

You can track a turkey across Barkley and not get your ankles wet.

Art Carney - Licking the mops at Porcini's since 2009.
Little River on Barkley is flowing orange....
I'm down here now the first day was canceled and we are supposed to fish sat and sun now. Winds forecasted at 20-30 for tomorrow so I predict that I will probably be cussing and surfing tomorrow.
Are they more organized than last year?
Man their timing for this tourney has sucked 2 years in a row now.Last year it was the day of the 10 inches of rain.
I don't care I the wind ever blows again..... EVER! Was not able to fish a single area we had today.![]()
Any body know who won and how much it took to win,,,,,,,,,,,,that wind has been murder for the last month or so.

Those numbers listed are a total of the day 1 and day 2 big bass. Not one single bass.

Man, that was one frustrating tournament. We weren't able to get on ANY of our spots the 1st day. Finally the second day the wind let up a bit as we were able to fish our areas somewhat effectively. We started on our first spot and had a limit in about 10 minutes and then just worked our way to other areas and culled up the rest of the day and ended up with 22 1/2 I think. I think we ended up catching around 50 fish and 30 keepers today.
We only weighed in 4 the 1st day and lost by a total of 2 1/4 lbs. No discredit to the guys who won because they sure earned it. But... I really feel if we were able to spend just a few minutes on one of our better areas getting a 5th wouldn't have been a problem and some better quality as well.
All in all, I won't complain we did move from like 110th the 1st day to 4th![]()
