The kids are out of school which means my number one employee (wife) stays home with them! We just got them back in school!

Would you rather be home with the kids and let her work?![]()
I just looked at the forecast and Gilbertsville is supposed to get 1" - 3" total snow, is that right? Not poking fun, but that amazes me when schools and stuff close down for that little bit of snow. We're just too used to it up here I guess. And sick of it.
We're looking at 4" 6" by tomorrow morning. Looks like I may have to plow the driveway.![]()
At least it's not another huge ice storm!

Craig, I have lived all over the place and this area shuts down. For one thing, drivers forget how to drive. Everyone thinks that 2 inches of snow makes there bread and milk not go as far so the grocery stores are packed the night before. The crews were out putting their brine solution on the roads for the past two days.
Yeah, I know, it just seems weird. As long as you guys stay safe! Do you think the brine works? Up here they use pelletized salts. Of course, look at the condition of our roads.![]()
Stay safe.

Craig they called school off all around Louisville this morning and not one flake had hit the ground. My daughter wasn't happy Jefferson county schools are open today, well at least till they can count it and get the Fed money. Then they will let them out early.![]()

I know it! I had some clean-up and catch-up planned today. That is her specialty![]()
people around here don't forget how to drive they just can't drive. 30mph everywhere i went this mornin
I think the main diff between this region and Michigan Craig is the amt. of equipment and resources ya'll have to take care of it and keep things cleared???
However, we were out of groceries last nigth so we went shopping not thinking one thing about the "Blizzard" headed our way and it was a flippin zoo!!!!!!! I seriously think every bit of bread had been taken by the time we got out!
That would make sense. We have the equipment, and the operators, but no money. The roads are crap this year every time it snows. The other night the roads went to solid ice in 5 minutes when it started raining at 26*.![]()
Too bad people panic like that over groceries..........
Stay safe.

my home town in WV has gotten pounded by these last few weather systems. They have received about 10" in the last couple days and expect another 10" next two days right after the 19-26" they got the week before Christmas.![]()
I hope this wind is not as bad as they project... man I hate, cold wind worse than anything.
TN schools were called off yesterday....this morning they hadn't even gotten any snow. Even schools all the way down by the AL line. The snow here in Hoptown is a joke, I saw the News 5 crew out of Nashville here just so they would have pictures of someplace with snow. I guess to not make there weatherman look so bad.![]()
My kids are in catholic school here in Jefferson Co and they went to school today and are NOT getting out early.

Nothing too bad, wife teaches in a rural community 1hr west of here and they called it off this morning (she made sure I knew she was going back to bed when I was off to work). She has tomorrow off now too. Its probably good I don't teach, b/c an unexpected 4 day weekend I'd he headed south to the lake!!
