My tilt will not work @ front deck panel or control on gear shifter unless start switch on panel is on. When I have been running & hit stop button, tilt will not work until I hit start button again. I have a 2010 Ranger Z-521 with an Evinrude HO 250 with I gauges.

The power for those switches may be coming through your mega-link system and requires the touch pad/key to be on. Take your bow panel off and use a meter set for DC volts, Measure at the tilt switch on the red wire and ground for 12V DC.
