Kidney stones suck

I woke up at 1 this morning with a little ache in my side and by 2 I was balled up in fetal position screaming like a little girl. This is my 8th and they just keep getting worse. For those of you all that haven never had these pray you never do. Doc said it's 6mm , by the way that's gigantic. He said if I don't pass it by wednesday he's going to break it up, I was screaming "Why the hell are going to wait until wednesday??????? Go get the damn thing!!!!" I'm so drugged up I had to take my last friggin week of vacation. Damn these suck.

Yeah I'm probably not going to pass it then. I don't think I have enough vicodin to make to wednesday.

Matt, basically an over abundance of calcium. Some people dispose of it better than others and those that don't SUFFER. basically we live on a big limestone bed so anything that uses water has a lot of calcium.

I feel your pain. I've only had them twice and each time I passed them within 24 hours but I couldn't imagine toughing it out for 3 days. Good luck.

I found out on Aug 4 that I had an 8mm stone in my right ureter(spelling?). Aug 6 I had laser surgery to remove it...for the people that are not familiar with the laser surgery. They put you asleep and run the laser tube up your D*%$ When you wake up they want you to pee...your piss looks like tomato juice but feels like battery acid when it comes out. The first 5- 6 times you pee are fun each time you pee you will see less blood and have less pain.

Aug 6 I had surgery to remove the 8mm stone Aug 7 I had a small stone to dislodge from my right kidney and I passed it. The pain set in around 10 am buy noon I was at the emergency room. Around 2pm they gave me Morphine. The next thing I remember was overhearing my wife telling the Urologist he been snoring for over an hour When kidney stones act up Morphine is your friend

My urologist released me from his care around one month ago. I still have one stone in my right kidney and two in my left. They are small enough that the Dr said I should pass them and never even notice it. YES Kidney Stones Suck...drink lots of water plus lemonade or orange juice.

i've had two this year myself. the one on the left side was 6mm and they used a shock wave to bust it in may. in aug i had a smaller one on the right side get stuck just before it went into the bladder. they used a basket to pull it out. luckly i didnt have to have stint.......good luck...kp

this is why I replaced milk in my diet with beer...like to keep the kidneys nice and clean.
