I took Nicholas to the lake and he was on fire. Used one pole with small rebel crawfish crankbait and another with live bait (bee moth). He caught so many fish I never really bothered picking up a pole myself. He is six and is still not too good at putting on bait and taking off fish(especially the crankbait fish he caught), but he is trying which is good. He really practiced his casting over the winter because he didn't want any help. This year he is much better at setting the hook. Very few times did he lose his bait and he didn't gut hook one fish. I was very proud! He ended up with 7 bass and 16 bluegill in about 2 1/2 hours. Here a few pics:
