Lake Barkley 4/30

I went to South Barkley today to do a little crappie fishing. Man I could not pay a keeper crappie to make it into the boat. I got so frustrated I started bass fishing. I caught a few the best one was 3LBS. It felt like I was hung in a wad of grass.

I was in little river today. Missed a couple of good ones due to slack in my line. That wind was rough. I didn't land a keeper, but had one come unbuttoned once it broke the surface. I need more practice on my hooksets. Hopefully this year I will get more practice. I am taking Beth out tomorrow for bluegill.

Good looking fish. I didn't mean to highjack your post. How was the wind on that end? I didn't find any fish back in the bays out of the wind. They were close to deep water.

Me too. Been trying to get my boat guy to check a few things on my boat so I can get mine in the water this year.

I am off on Sunday but likely will not get to go.

Thats how the bite has been, cant really tell if there on there or not.
I'm heading out the door right now for day three of the Stren, Were catching a lot of fish just not any big fish, but oh well at least I can enjoy the wet rides and 100 mph winds
