Jobs in West KY area.

Ok guys and gals. I'm looking to find out what some of the companies are around or at least decent driving distance from the Cadiz area. I know of Dana, Johnson Controls, and TG ASK but what else is around there. Also interested in the Princeton, Eddyville, Calvert City and Murray areas. I've been with my current company a little over 8 years and its a good job I just want to get to the lakes area.

Any and all help is appreciated. I've just finished my resume and I'm ready to start sending it out.

I see you didn't mention Paducah, it's a fairly large city. better than Evansville in layout . I've not regretted moving down here. I'm in the medical field and drive to Paducah 3 days a week to work. Used to live in Princeton , IN.

Heard on the radio the other day that Goodyear is hiring. That would be in Union City, Tn. May be a little farther than you are looking tho.

Yeah I'm trying to stay in Western KY area since I have family around Madisonville, KY and Evansville, IN.

Paducah's not bad but I really want to try and stay in the Trigg, Hopkins, Lyon, Caldwell, Marshall counties or there general areas. Murray would be about as far as I would want to go.

For the last five years I have been conducting safety consulting on the side. I have now made it a full time passion. For the last month I have been trying to set up the business legally. I have also found an investor and purchased the necessary office supplies needed. I have also been calling everyone and their brother setting up appointments with potential clients.

I am marketing myself to small to medium business in the construction and manufacturing industries as a part time safety professional. I even try to help those companies that have a full time safety professional that might need help with third party auditing, facility or jobsite inspections and more.

I have talked about doing this ever since I was in college. Now I have the experience and knowledge to make it happen. So I am living my dream. Tomorrow I am going fishing. The boss decided to have a team building exercise on the lake. I need a break. Plus I can make phone calls on the water.

tr21,what is it you do and want.i used to drive for service transport(ltl)before they went under and either delivered or picked up in every place in western ky.i live in hopkinsville and this weekend when i have time will make you a list.

I've been working with Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana since late 1999. Without going into too much detail I've worked in several groups anywhere from Trial Management for new model vehicles which consisted of production planning, trial parts ordering, engineering change managment, trial vehicle monitoring to ensure all went as planned and day to day contact with pilot groups at the plant as well as suppliers. Currently in mass production ordering which falls under production control. There are 3 of us that handle all of Tundra and Sequoia production here at TMMI. We have approximately 90 suppliers each and about 930 parts. We ensure we maintain accurate inventories on all parts, (average inventory is 3.5 hours), work with suppliers on a daily basis for engineering changes and other issues that may arise. In contact daily with our external logistics companies about delivery routes and our production floor with changes (kaizens) that can be made to improve the overall process. Also get dispatched peroidically to trouble suppliers to go through their entire processes from production to shipping to implement kaizens to make their processes more efficient and more streamlined.

Thats about it in a nutshell. Could go on much more but I don't want to make it that big of a post.

Thanks for everyones help. Like I said before I have good job but would love to get closer to the twins. That way it doesn't cost a fortune whenever I want to go fishing.

Calvert City is full of chemical plants!

Union Carbide (or something like that)
Atofina
ISP

...and many more that I've left out.

I'd say your sure to find something available in any of them.

The chemical plants are the heart and soul of Calvert City and Marshall County, but few people know about them!
