    First Painted Cranks

I just started painting crankbaits and I have to say its pretty addicting. Here are some of my first baits on my second day painting. These were all painted with SPRAYPAINT lol. How do they look?

look about fifty times better than the first ones I tried
Probably why I gave it up . Just go rob a bank and get ya an airbrush then you can really get crazy.

They look good. The second to last is really cool. I am afraid you won't like the way they hold up in the rocks with that spray paint, but that is good practice.

there goes the 17 brain cells you had....baits look good. Maybe you should give a few to somebody who throws a crank alot (Buck) and see if they catch fish.

I wonder if sniffing smelly jelly crawfish attractant kills brain cells too? if it does, i think i may be down to 1 or 2 left lol. but, i wouldnt mind sending you 1 or 2 too see how they do.

    Re: First Painted Cranks (flippindrew)

    Drew,
The more you paint the more addictive this will become. Brent and Donnie Wilson turned me on to this when I worked at the Cain Pole and I've been doing it for about 5 years now. Get you an airbrush. THe amount of detail you can put in a bait will be unbelievable. Good Luck.

Here are a few that I just finished not too long ago.

c'mon! thats hitting below the belt! j/k lol. those are some really good looking baits, wish i had the money to get an airbrush and all that stuff. but, untill i can ill just have to stick with the graffiti baits. if i ever get an airbrush, ill have to get ahold of you for some lessons.

    Re: First Painted Cranks (flippindrew)

Anything I can hel you with I'll be glad to. You can get an airbrush pretty cheap off of Ebay with the compressor and all, maybe $150. There is also a great sight for crankbait painting and all other types of baits. It's just a bunch of guys who do it as a hobby and will answer any questions you have. http://www.tackleunderground.com

You're going to have fun with this.
