Are you sure that you installed the copper tube coming down from inside the mid section into the water pump when you reinstalled the lower unit? Very important!

And did you install the grommet inside the pump housing and make sure the key stayed on the drive shaft?

You didn't say it overheated, but if the impeller came apart, pieces of it are stuck and plugged every where. Also I had a guy use real thick grease for a pre-lube and it plugged the pee tube.

yes the copper tube is in and the key stayed on the driveshaft.what else could have stopped the water pressure guage from working had to replace the overtemp alarm on the pass side of motor ,that's why the alarm would not shuit off but now the guage reads nothing it's pumping fine and the thermoststs are clear and working .What could it be

The water pressure line is pretty small ID. Could have plugged the line. Blow thru the line from the unplugged gage to the motor and see if it registers after you reconnect the line to the gage.

it is clear from the motor to about 12" from the guage where I have a splice because in the winter months I take it off after I get home and let it drain so it don't freeze ,so if theres something in the line it's in the last 12 inches or guage itself and I doubt that

Take the tube off at the motor and start it Al. See if water comes out of the fitting. If no good take the fitting out and inspect/start the motor and see if you have water flow.
