Going to give Buck another lesson. Nolin tonight, should be loaded with pleasure boats!
must have just came home and went to bed. How did you guys do.
Last time I went to Nolin I said it was the last time I was going to Nolin. I am suprised more people are not killed on that lake, it is a race track.
Well, you would think that throwing a 7 inch black & blue Texas rigged worm would get you a bunch of short fish. I bet I had less than 10 bites all night long. We caught 5 fish, the two biggest were 14 3/4 & 14 inches even. Those fish were caught within 20 feet of eachother. That is a bad thing since this was a big fish tourney.
Everyone we talked to was catching nothing, but I am sure someone stuck them.
I will let Buck tell you about what he caught.![]()
Same story for Jeff and I on Barren last night....it looks like a race track there after sun set as well![]()
Sent you a pic of the only fish I caught or landed last night.
We fished from around 5 PM to 2 AM
mmmmmmmmm boy did I get a lesson.Boils down to this....I used to love night fishing in the summer. Now I am unable to fish much past midnight. The bugs suck and if a bat ever hits me in the head I plan on pulling an Ozzy Osbourne and biting it's head off.
I also seem to do alot better fishing in the daytime even in the summer. My #1 problem is that I am no longer comfortable being on the lake with drunken idiots and hardcore night bassers running their rigs at 65 MPH in the dark. Summary....I am a terrible night fisherman AND I dont like it. May have been my last night gig for a long time.
I also managed to really stick em last night.I did my usual crankbait, jig thing until the sun went down. Then I threw topwater until dark and switched to jig and big, dark spinnerbait. I managed to catch three fish that had a TOTAL weight of 1.1 pounds.
The fish I caught on the spinnerbait was such a monster that when I was reeling it in all I could feel was that big blade thumpin.

Great to see Joe again and hang out a little though and thanks for the brawts Joe.![]()
Guess I will stick to sweating like a maniac on some ledge on Ky. Lake catching four pounders where I can SEE the idiots coming at me. 19 days until the mini rally.
Stay safe.
Buck
Talked to Joe and our 14 3/4 incher would have been good for 3rd place and around 90 bucks. 3.88 took first. Why bother. joe hates night fishing, Buck hates night fishing, Mike hates night fishing.![]()
If you haven't heard I DO NOT LIKE TO FISH AT NIGHT. Was tough last night only caught 6 fish and largest was 1.34 WOOO HOOO. I think most of the winning fish were caught on cb's. I guess its still better than not fishing at all. Buck is right about the idiots down there. If you don't know the lake or have the right equipment you should not run like some do at night. Last night was even more difficult do too, no moon.![]()
Alright everyone don't get upset because fishing was off at Noiln. If you read the report on Ed and Jeffs trip to Barren you would see that things were slow at Barren also but Ed did manage to get one good biteNight fishing was off also at Green River Lake. I did not fish in a tournament last night but I had several friends that did 26 boats 9+ for 1st and a little over 6 for 4th. Big fish was 3+ so I guess night fishing was off on all the central KY lakes

Buck
If it would have been 1 3/4lbs I would have gotten some gas money. But it was only 1 .(point) 34 puonds![]()
