I posted this in the lounge as well. Anyways, got the itch for a road trip this fall and Dale Hollow is in my sights. When is the best time to head down there for some fall fishing?
Any other lake suggestions for smallies?
Thanks!

Jack, the later the better. We had something like 4 mini-rallies at Dale last year and I don't think it got above 20 at any of them. Other wise, go early and fish at night![]()

Jack
I would try to go in October/November. I have had some awesome days on zara spooks in late October. Just get down there before the water temp drops to below 50 degrees because then all the fnf dorks will be there and it does not work.![]()
Buck
Yeah what Buck said, especially if your driving by the Trooper Island dock and see a guy doing a FNF seminar. It was a good seminar but I think it took like 3-4 guys to net his fish.![]()
Just kidding, do what everyone else said in the above.![]()
Hey thanks for the replies guys. I got the hook up on time frame now. Can't wait.... Gonna be saving my pennies for gas money.
November is you best bet....and you'll be fishing 40 to 50 ft. depths in the middle of the backs of the creeks with shiners.
We spanked em' last year![]()
