Who is interested in a BBC Family Day and Where? VOTE

Ed Davis is heading up a BBC Family day where you would have to fish with a family member and we would get together afterward for a meal and some good times. What Ed would like to know is, #1 are you interested, and #2 where would you prefer to do it? Below are some choices but feel free to add your own.

And don't forget to add your choices, even if they are not in KY.

I put up the Ky Lake....need to do it in October maybe instead of a fall rally down here since there has been no more talk about one....either way if I am going to be able to attend a get together here this fall someone needs to make a decision before I get booked up.

My son and I would be happy to show you guys how to fish Ky Lake

We WILL have a rally this fall at KY Lake. As soon as this Rough Rally is over we will begin planning for sure. Wouldn't miss it! Also, I am voting that our spring rally next year be at KY Lake. Ofcourse it is only one vote, but I am the planner

I voted for Taylorsville mostly because of location and its pretty good fishing in may but I wouldn't mind fishing Green river ether. Lets go some place we haven't gone to yet as a group. I'm up for what ever every one decides.

Just wish Cedar Creek was not so far out of the way for most.
And kind think Ky Lake is to far for most just for a one day family trip, and I know
Lake Erie is way out of the question
Come on you guys don't just vote, a little feed back would be nice as well.
Hey AJ did not even think of Green River.

I like the idea and can be flexible in regards to when and where. However, Taylorsville might attract some more of our Northern Indiana and Ohio folks. It is a relatively small lake though and can get crowded, but since it is close to Louisville, those folks who live in Indy or Cincy etc., would have a much shorter trip.

There is no doubt that Kentucky has more water than Ohio & Indiana combined....several times over! (Not counting the Great Lakes) Plus Kentucky has some truly outstanding fishing water. However, I think that sooner or later we need to do something on the North side of the Ohio to accommodate some of the folks who live North of the River. This may not be the time to do it, but I think we should do something at some point in the not too distant future.

I think Taylorsville would be the most centrally located lake but if we were to pick it you better do it in early to mid may or give it up until the fall. That lake gets hammered by boat traffic as soon as it warms up. Green is a good fishery and its a good size lake I'd say its an 1hr 45min drive from Louisville a good 2.5-3hr drive from Cincy and an 1.5hr drive from Lexington. Green has a nice picnic area right there at the state ramp if no
one is using it for a tournament at the time.

I don't care where we have it, wherever we can get the biggest turn out. I'll go where ever.

Since there is going to be a fall rally here I will withdraw my vote for Ky Lake. Ed is heading this thing up and so he is the one doing most of the work....I vote Ed tells everyone where it will be.

Re: Who is interested in a BBC Family Day and Where? VOTE (Dave Stewart)

OK guys and dolls how much of a hall would it be for everyone to get to Cedar Creek? I know it would be a long ways for Dave. The reason I am asking is Cedar Creek does NOT allow jet skis or pleasure boats, or water skiing. And sense this more than likely going to be after the schools are out Other than that I have not voted and if I do, it would be a tie between Ky and Rough. Right now I feel Rough is more centrally located than any of the others....

So final vote is for either Cedar Creek (its south of Herrington Lake, Near Crab Orchard) or Rough. Other than Rough I can not think of a lake that is going to be really centrally located for EVERYONE...and not sure how Green River is for everyone.

I am trying to have it so its as centrally located for everyone as much as possible

Cedar Creek is about 2 1/2 hrs from Cincy. I'll make sure to bring my better half as my partner since we want to catch some fish

That would be me who suggested Tanners Creek... I just thought it would be kinda central for all to attend. Plus I've got a honey-hole up there

OK guys and dolls the survey says Ky Lake, so if you all want to have it there someone else is going to have to run the thing, because I would be without a partner...Sue or I have to stay at our place to keep an eye on the critters.

Mike now guess we need another poll for when to have it,.. "Date".

Well, I guess I'd like to know if we just want to wait until late May or Maybe June. Here's the thing, I am gonna start Planning the fall Rally for Ky Lake the day after I get back from the one at Rough. Perhaps this should just be sorta informal?

informal!!?? agree but which one the Family day or the Fall Rally
Was really planing on the Family day being informal but wanted an idea of who, how many, etc. ....Potluck?
OR we can make the family day the same as a mini rally on Barren and do the same thing we did last year....Sue says that is just peachy with her
