At what speeds will the 225HO with the M2 gear case start having prop slip or blow out? Is there anything that can be done to stop it? I will ask this same question on Mark's prop forum also.

BUMP, still trying to get some help on this. At what speeds does a motor start having prop slip with out the pointed nose cone on it. Thanks.

Too many variables here..... Most to do with plate height, condition of water,Differance in Props, .. I have ran standard cases at around the 83 mph mark with no blow out... I would say anything above that you will need a coned case.... Eddie Pope aka Gearcaseman will be the one to give your answer... :)
Thanks witchdoctor. I also had someone tell me that they THOUGHT it would probably have to be over 80mph. Sounds promising that you have done 83 with no problem. There are a lot of positives for the m2, stronger, more reliable, better water pick up, runs better in grass because of the more water inlets. Again thanks. Roger
