    will my etec motor run without tach

    I have to send my tach bach to faria. May take 4 wks to get it back. It has the system check lts built in. It's an 05 225 ho etec.

    no worries. Your E-TEC does not need a tachometer to run

    The motor will run OK without a tach but the thing to worry about is that you have no alarm indicators or warning horn should the motor have an overheat, electrical, or an oil problem. You could damage the motor.
