Checking the timing on 95 175 intruder

Trying to figure out why my motor is such a dog out of the hole now was wondering if i should check the timing on it.

Sure, your motor give it a shot. I'd check compression, make sure the plates are opening fully on the carbs, make sure it's firing on all 6.
