The brake and turn signal do not work on one side of the trailer. I bought the tester thing at BPS and they are all good to the back of the truck.... when I plug in the trailer the one side goes out. I tried switching the lights on the back to see if the light was not working but the other side does not work either when plugged into the bad side...
The parking lights work... just no brake or turn signal.
What can I look for to try and fix
Weird light problems are almost always caused by GROUND problems. I'd start by checking the ground connection at the tailight on the dead side. Good luck.

Truer words have never been spoken... "weird" light problems are issues with the GROUND!

Thank you... I wiggled them but I'll take them off, clean and put back on just in case....
I know the tester says the truck is good, but what you've described makes me think a truck side problem. I'd follow the wire from the plug back and look for a poor quality splice someplace.
Can't believe I have to say a Cat Fan was right.... but he was so I'll give the credit where due. I have a converter between the truck lights and the hitch plug... it was shorted out on one side.
