Heavier weight oil in UFP Gold?

I've got UFP oil bath hubs on my trailer. In one year, one's already leaking. Gonna replace it this weekend. I'm thinking of putting a heavier weight oil in them. 50wt seems awful light.....and the fact that UFP doesn't make these any more kinda reinforces my belief that it's a bad system. Anybody refilled theres with 90wt?

I've got a 2007 Triton/Marine Master with those hubs. Three of the four have had the rear seal go out. I used 50W Valvoline racing oil in the the first two and some Merc Hi Performance gear lube in the last one I did. All three have been fine. It will help if you put some heat in the 90W before you start to fill the hub. Be SURE to get the correct seal and rotate the hub as you fill it to get all the air bubbles out. Good luck!

I have a 2008 Stratos trailer with them had one leak but that was due to a brake draging replaced evreything useing the oil ranger sent me and changed the oil in the other hub. No problems recommend oil change evry two years or 20K miles. I kind of over kill and change every year thats just me.
