    Clunking Sound

Okay need help. This year i noticed when trailering the Skeeter I get a clunking noise. Wasn't to noticeable in the beginning but now its getting more noticeable. I will try to explain. Whenever I start out from a stopped position like stop and go traffic I get a clunk. It almost sounds and feels like the tranny on the 2010 Tundra but its not. I then pull our travel trailer and it doesnt happen so I know its not the truck. The feeling almost feels like someone taps me in the rear. One more thing about the trailer. Fished a tourny the other night and the trailer lights worked fine on the way to the tourny but then pulled the boat and realized on the way home I had no trailer lights. The only lights I had were brake lights and hazards. Every other light including markers were out. Thanks Mike

Probably the shock in your actuator.
If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity,
    nothing else matters.

Check you break fluid in your trailer master cylinder, I bet you don't have any fluid in it. If you do have fluid then, check to see if your brakes are working on the trailer. If all that is alright, then it is probably the shock in the actuator.

Yes the shock can be replaced, you just have to take the actuator completely apart to do it.

Sounds like water getting into the light fixture maybe????? Was fine while on the way to the ramp, then after getting it wet, it didn't work... check the light fixtures first, then the grounds.

make sure you don't have any exposed wire rubbing against metal, will blow them every time.

i have the same problem on my Skeeter. It has progressively gotten worse. Where would you suggest finding the shock? No Skeeter dealer around here anymore. Thanks

    Re: Clunking Sound (NOTHINBUTTOADS)

Had the same clunking noise with my Skeeter. Seemed like it was coming from the actual hitch and pin. Then I discovered that the ball was sliding back and forth in the hitch! Replaced that real quick.
